Third Day - WA District Rally
Day three of the WA District rally started just like day two. Over cast and just like day two it cleared off at about 1PM. The good news here is that the temperature did not get up over about 70 degrees. Just great weather for riding in. There was a bike show and a food drive going. Chapter Z served up breakfast. They did an outstanding job on the breakfast.
Had a great afternoon and lots of bike came back from the bike show or other great rides to local points of interest. The dinner was very well done and the district staff did a superb job of getting everyone through the serving lines. Closing ceremonies was great and had lots of fun with the mascot race. Well time to pack and head home here this Sunday.

Second Day - WA District Rally
Well day two started with opening ceremonies and they were very well done. Have a nice group of people from Canada. Nice to see our good friends from the north of us come and visit. Lots of people from other states are here as well. To long of a list to put up here so will put in the newsletter.
Dee, Judy and Reggie headed to town for the walk about. There were lots of other activities going on and lots of fun. The light parade was great. Had a light show after the light parade. Lots of nice bikes. Well will put more up on the BLOG after we get home.

First Day - WA District Rally
Well everyone that could come on Thursday made it here. There are more coming on Friday and/or Saturday. Depending on work schedules. Nice area for a rally at the fairgrounds. One problem is getting electrical to everyone that needs it. WA State staff seems to be doing a good job to get the problem fixed. WA-X member won the 50/50 which was $258.00. Nice pot for the first day and not having everyone here yet.

Day Two Part Two
Well it was 83 at about 2:45PM today. I haven't seen weather like this in a long time. It was so clear and nice it was unbelievable. Course this is Oregon. By 5:45PM it was 74 and just as cloudy as it ever gets in Longview. Despite the ups and downs of the weather we have been having a ball. Our friends who came over with us from Clatskanie are having a ball as well. Their teenage daughter and friend are really enjoying the pool and water park that they have here. It's about time for the light parade. Will finish up after the light parade.
I no more finished writing that first part and walked outside and the sky opened up. I thought we weren't suppose to get rain till tomorrow. What a shock. We went over to the Village Pavilion and had the 50/50 and the pre-registration 50/50 drawing. It was decided to cancel the light parade due to the change of weather. Can't say I blame them. Five bikes did ride around in a mini light parade. Can't have everything.

Day Two - Part One
Well the opening ceremonies were very good. Lots of good information and a very good turn out. The one disappointment was there are only three vendors. Looks like another great day as the sky is basically clear with about 75 again. They do expect rain tonight so we maybe on the last of the good weather have to wait and see. Wail write more after I go take part in some of the activities. I will say this that Oregon District is doing a great job here.

Day One Part Two
Well we made it here and I must say a great place to hold a rally. Great facilities and a very friendly staff. For those of you that don't know the rally is being held at Kah-Nee-Ta casino. Oregon District has done a great job. Most of the activities are down in the Village area. The weather has been a nice 74 and clear with a very few clouds. Lots of Wings. We saw one wing with a pet carrier I have not seen before. Don't think our cat would like it to much. Time to go walk around some and see what we can see.

Message Forum and One More WEB Change
Topic: WEB Site Discussions
When talking with Chuck and Reggie here on last Sunday. Reggie was very much in favor of finding a better way that the members could post message and start their own threads. The BLOG software was never meant to be a message forum for more than one or two main posters. So I started a search for some where to set up a message forum for the club. I found a company that offers free forum setup and if we like then we can see about getting it ad free. Right now we are going to have to deal with the ads which are not to bad.
If there are any message boards you would like to have added let me know.
This is the last changes I'm making to the WEB site. There maybe a few small changes but it is pretty much back to the way it was. I'll worry about going back to the new WEB software in the fall. To many nice days coming up to be inside worrying about the WEB site.

Really caffeinated today.
On Sunday talked it over with Chuck and Reggie. We have decided to try and allow comments to post on the BLOG to go through without our approval. Hopefully we will not have the problem so many other chapters have had. So you can now post a comment and it will show up right away.
There is one security feature to posting a comment. You will have to put in an EIGHT DIGIT SECURITY CODE. The reason for this is very simple. This is so the software will know that it is a human not a spammer posting the comment. Very simple to do as it is part of the comment post form.
If you have any problems or questions please let us know.

Look and Feel
Topic: WEB Site Discussions
The look and feel of the WEB site is back to how it looked before the software change. We are still using the old software but have changed to a template that allows the site to look more like it was. As always if you have any questions or comments please let us know.
